Latest Updates from Our Project:

Shipping Update – Fulfilment begins!
over 3 years ago – Wed, Aug 12, 2020 at 03:33:10 AM

Good news, Rome & Rollers!

We received the long-awaited exclusive figures on Monday at our UK warehouse and English language fulfilment for UK and ‘Rest of the World’ began yesterday.

Here’s what’s happening:

  • English language games for all destinations (except the US & Canada): Fulfilment has started. We are shipping games as quickly as we can and should be finished sending out packages by the middle of next week. You will not receive tracking information. Please allow for transit times of about 3-5 days for the UK, 5-10 days for Europe, and 7-21 days for the rest of the world.
  • English language games in the US & Canada: The Kickstarter exclusive minis are on their way from China and should be received in about a week. Fulfilment will begin ASAP once they are received. You will receive a shipping notification from our partner QML. We will post another update when fulfilment begins in the US & Canada.
  • Language editions: We have sent the Kickstarter exclusive minis to our language partners and they will begin fulfilment right away.
The games arrived safe and sound and will be shipped out along with the KS exclusive minis as quickly as possible. More photos to follow in a future update.

What’s next?

We will post another update once fulfilment begins in the US and Canada. Please send us a direct message here on Kickstarter or an email to '[email protected]' should you have any issues with the game once received, or if it is delayed.

July Shipping Update
almost 4 years ago – Wed, Jul 15, 2020 at 12:00:40 AM

We said we’d be back with an update when the ships reached port, and so here we are with the latest update for Rome & Roll.

As so often is the case with shipping updates, there’s a bit of good news and bad news.

First the bad news. We were originally going to make the Kickstarter Exclusive plastic figures in-house using the same technology that produces the miniature wargaming figures for our other lines. With the pandemic greatly reducing our in-house production capacity, we realized we would no longer be able to complete this work ourselves in a timely fashion. We were able to act quickly and have the figures produced, but they will not arrive until very early in August.

The good news is that we are in the home stretch now. We will have the miniatures on-hand in about three weeks and will begin fulfilment from the UK and the US right away. Games will be shipped to Kickstarter backers first, before any games are headed to retail.

If you have any urgent and necessary address changes, please send us a direct message here on Kickstarter for the quickest response.

As always, we thank you greatly for your support of this project and for your patience as we manage to get this game to you during these strange times.

Ships have set sail!
almost 4 years ago – Wed, Jun 10, 2020 at 04:40:18 PM

As promised in the last update, we have new information on the shipment of Rome & Roll to share with you.

  • The ship headed for the US left China yesterday and will be at sea for about a month.
  • The ship headed for the UK left China a week ago and will be at sea for about six weeks.

Both shipments will then need to clear customs and get booked into the warehouse (at least two weeks) before fulfilment can begin.

That gives you a sense of the current timeline. We will post another update when the ships have reached port.

Shipping Update
almost 4 years ago – Sat, May 30, 2020 at 01:45:40 AM

Hello all. I know we have been quiet recently and some of you have been requesting updates on shipping of the game. We had planned to hold off on an update until ships were ready to leave port with Rome & Roll, but in the interest of getting some information out to you, here is our current status.

All games, in every edition, have been produced, and are now awaiting shipment.

As you can imagine, the global pandemic is causing logistical hurdles when it comes to shipping goods out of China. Understandably, personal protective equipment and medical supplies are given a priority, and so space for consumer goods is limited, in high demand, and prices are skyrocketing. We have been working with our logistics partners to get the games on two ships: one bound or the United States, and the other to the United Kingdom.

We will update you again once the ships have left port with the games. Realistically, once the ships leave port in China we are anticipating at least another 4 weeks to reach the US and 6 weeks to reach the UK. Once the games clear customs (which is taking longer than normal) and reach our warehouses we will distribute them to you just as quickly as we can.

We will adjust these estimates if necessary when we update you when the ships have left. We have not locked addresses in the Backerkit pledge manager, so if you have a move coming up, you’ll be able to update your address on your own (send us a message if you need help with this). We will alert you before we lock addresses in the pledge manager.

In the interest of transparency, some of you will note that this update is the same for another of our Kickstarter projects – Britannia: Classic and New Duel Edition. Both games (along with a reprint of Blitzkrieg!) are booked for passage in the same containers. We had not planned for the fulfilment of both games to happen at the same time, nor did one game cause a delay in shipping the other. Given COVID-19 related delays in production, it meant both games were ready for shipping within the same timeframe.

Thank you again for your patience. We will be back again with a shipping update when the ships have left China.
